I had the pleasure of staying at Playa Beach Lodging last week with my family and I wanted to share the experience with you all because it’s such a great safe getaway! Nestled on the beach shore of Carpinteria CA, Playa Lodging has a East Coast Cape Cod beachy feel.
We stayed in the penthouse and check in was a breeze. The door is opened with a code so you don’t have to worry about juggling keys and it’s a contactless check in. The Penthouse has 3 bedrooms 3.5 bathrooms, a large living area, cute cozy breakfast nook that can fit a good amount of people and a kitchen with basically EVERYTHING you need. The penthouse felt like a hotel meets airbnb where it feels like a home but also you are able to get service when needed. Everything is provided for you when you arrive (minus food) which was really nice. It was very clean and very big, honestly I’m not over how nice it was because pictures don’t do it justice.
The master bedroom has a walk in closet, and a steam shower and bath. The penthouse also had a washer and dryer in it. The kitchen had basically any appliance you need as well as everything you need to cook and serve a meal. They even had a kitchen aid mixer. I was seriously ready to move in.
We also had access to the rooftop which was a nice sanctuary and 1 bedroom had a private balcony while the other shared a balcony via the front of the house which also has an outside dining table by a fireplace. To say this place was cozy is to the say the least. I could totally see a large family renting it our for the entire summer.
Playa Lodging is just steps from the beach which is absolutely stunning and lots of food places and antique shops. Carpenteria is a quaint little beach town and a bonus is it’s also really close to Santa Barbara so if you do a long stay you can also do a day trip there as well.
They also have 1 and 2 bedroom options as well if you don’t need as much room as the penthouse!
I want to thank the team at Playa Lodging for a great stay and they even gave us some ice cream and goodies during our stay including a cute little Christmas tree I decorated with London. It was a such a personalized experience.
If you’re looking for somewhere safe and clean you can getaway with your family and also social distance Playa Beach Lodging is the place. I haven’t been on any type of trip since last year so it was nice to take a little staycation. I highly recommend it and I hope to be back soon!
