It’s Christmas!! And today I am grateful to be home spending time with family. Every year on Christmas Eve my family throws a big party not only to celebrate the holiday but to celebrate my mom’s birthday which happens to fall on Christmas. So at midnight (aka official hour of Christmas) we sing Happy Birthday to my mom and commence opening of presents. Then we stay up until ’til the sun rises, playing Taboo and other fun games and the next morning we cook a big Christmas breakfast. Same formula every year.
But my real favorite part about Christmas day is how quiet the world seems to get. All major operations are closed and we all just get to slow down, be with family, or just plain have a day off from life which I think is much needed, a day to just be, reflect, pray, laugh whatever….
