• Learning The Hard Way

20140702_locks and trinkets_5680The only good thing about learning the hard way is that you know for next time not to make the same mistake. I’ve been having  a solid week of learning the hard way and am currently taking some time to reflect on myself and be more present and aware of the details around me. You ever have days when you’re like “Why me?” But why not me? I rather have learned a lesson then to live a life not learning anything.

My tips to avoid learning the hard way twice is knowing when to give up, when to stand strong, and when to allow your circumstances to just play out without forcing anything. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to stand still and be aware.

So although I’ve been faced with unexpected expenses and unexpected unhappiness it teaches me more and more each day the “how to’s” of life and helps me write my own personal directions list of navigating this crazy world. And for that I am grateful for learning the hard way…a now I just have to stay conscious and not make the same mistakes twice. Isn’t that always the hardest part?

Learning the hard way can be a ball breaker, but you’d be a fool to wind up in that same mess twice
I’ve been that fool, and unashamedly so. I believe each lesson in life serves it’s purpose, so be strengthened in that fact
And know that your current struggles and set-backs are serving a greater purpose of success for your future
