• Hyatt Palm Springs

Last week, Melissa and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Palm Springs for a mini vacation and it certainly was needed. Going into it I didn’t know what to expect. I had stayed at a couple different places in Palm Springs but never the Hyatt. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. From how cute and quaint the 200 suite only hotel was, to its AMAZING location right in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. We literally valeted our cars the first day then didn’t touch them until it was time to leave because everything we needed was walking distance.20151102_9328 20151102_9329Like I mentioned the hotel only has suites. It’s the only all suite hotel in Palm Springs. I LOVE staying in suites because it really makes it feel like a home away from home. One minute I would watch TV in the “living room” then go in the bedroom and watch something else. lol  I just loved the options of having two rooms.

I loved how the rooms all faced the center of the hotel looking down into a large common area where you could sip coffee and hang out, they even had a live band our last night there.

I think we went a little overboard but we actually ate most of it, Vacation diet. It was a luxury to just wake up and walk down in your PJ’s to breakfast. Almost like having a mansion and walking down to your chef with breakfast of your choosing waiting for you. Oh a girl can dream…one day.

20151103_9270If you know me, you know I’m a fish and the pool area was where I spent our first full day. It was so nice to just read by the pool sipping a daiquiri and eating yummy quesadillas from the restaurant. Heaven.20151103_9303Processed with VSCOcam with se3 preset Processed with VSCOcam with b1 presetYou can even rent bikes (for free) from the front desk. I don’t remember the last time I rode a bike but it was a blast (and a workout)20151103_9305hyatt palm springs_20151103_8538The beautiful view from our rooms. I had to come out and see it. My favorite thing about Palm Springs is how the mountains and Palm Springs collide, like two people who shouldn’t be together but it just works.hyatt_palm_springs_hotel_vacation_trip_melrodstyle_pool_desert_food_drinks_relevance-PR_share-restaurant_dinner_breakfast-4 hyatt_palm_springs_hotel_vacation_trip_melrodstyle_pool_desert_food_drinks_relevance-PR_share-restaurant_dinner_breakfast-5On our last night we had an amazing dinner at SHARE which is the hotel restaurant and bar. The scallops were so good.

I honestly felt like it was way too short of a stay but I highly recommend if you’re booking a trip to Palm Springs to stay at the Hyatt. You seriously won’t have to worry about Ubering anywhere or even driving. You can enjoy all the local bars, restaurants and shops of Palm Springs and just walk back to your hotel at the end of the night.  I wish when my family came to visit last year that we were in this location , it would have made the trip so much more fun. It was my first time staying in Palm Springs and not having to drive or Uber and I have to say it made a WORLD of difference.

Also can’t forget to mention the super helpful and friendly staff which can be rare to find in hospitality setting nowadays (unfortunately) but every question we had was answered. Such a great trip, I can’t wait to go back soon!

    xx
