California has not quite experienced “winter” but the weather has been very dry. Which means dry skin and dry hair. So when I got the opportunity to try Head  & Shoulders Moisture Care products I jumped on it.

Having dry hair is a problem especially when your hair is short. I also felt like I was losing my curls because of the dryness. I try to drink as much water as possible, but the weather just wins sometimes. I tried out the collection and I was pleasantly surprised. My scalp felt cool and moisturized and my hair was shiny and looked healthy. I especially love that it’s for textured hair so I think it was even more perfect for me.

I first tried the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner then followed up with the co-wash (ps I’m really into the whole co-wash idea because shampoo can be drying, alternating your shampoo routine and using a co-wash will leave you hair feeling much healthier.) then I followed up with the scalp soother while my hair was wet. Last, I followed my normal hair routine, blow drying and straightening my hair…

After one use, I felt my curls more defined (even though I wear my hair straight I love my curls and it’s a sign of healthy hair) and my scalp felt clean and moisturized. Which means no itchiness!

I love that it has almond oil and coconut essence and 3 days later I wasn’t scratching my head! If you have dry hair, I totally recommend it. I make the bf use it now too. 😉

Head and Shoulders scientists explored the unique needs and characteristics of African American hair and found a drastic need for moisture and protection. Head & Shoulders NEW Moisture Care collection, with Vitamin E rich almond oil and coconut essence, provides moisture for scalp and hair immediately and also over time, eliminating dandruff and leaving you 100% flake-free. Hey Enocha. Firstly You are gorgeous! Question- How often do you strengthen your hair per week? I am natural too and thinking of cutting it keeping it straight for a bit. Do you find it damages your curls?

Thanks love! I straighten my hair about once a week. I use the lowest heat setting possible, for me I haven’t found it damages my curls.
