I don’t ever worry about how old I look, maybe because people always think I look like a baby anyway, but most importantly it’s because I think how you feel and look starts on the inside before it radiates on the outside. I know older people who have more life and energy then others much younger than them and it’s because of their lifestyle. I try my best to live a healthy lifestyle starting with excercise, organic foods and vitamins, and the proper skin products. These things help me stay and feel young and I also thank my mom for her good genes 😉
1. Yoga/Exercise
I can go on an on about the benefits of exercise and yoga. Yoga has great benefits for your state of mind and body. I used to do Bikram yoga for a while and each class you sweat out so many toxins, it’s such a great way to detox the pollutins we come in contact with every day. It’s also great for your digestive system. I must admit somedays it takes me an extra push to get up and go to the gym or studio, but I love when I get into the zone. I have so much more energy throughout the day and I look and feel great!
2. Tea
My mom told me something recently that changed my whole outloook on tea and that’s saying alot because I was already a tea fanatic. First you should only get organic tea because otherwise your basically steaming up some nice juicy pesticides. ( I taught her that) Second what she taught me is the truly how beneficial it is to drink hot tea, especially after you eat. Think about it this way: When you mix oil in hot water it dissapates right? But when you mix oil and cold water it either clumps up or just stays in tack. And that my friends is what it does in your belly too. So drinking hot tea after you eat helps to dissapate some of the fat in the foot you just ate and in turn makes you feel so much better after a meal. I drink coat throat tea every morning for my voice and either ginger or mint at night depending on my mood 🙂
3. Echinacea
Echinacea is my little miracle worker. Anytime I feel a hint of sickness I pump myslef up with that little bugger and sickness averted. Now I try to take it every morning or night for immune system maintence. Liquid form is 10 times better then the pill, it’s faster acting and purer, just make sure its alcohol free. I HATE feeling sick, being healthy is my number one way to stay feeling young.
4. Olay Regenerist Lumunious Facial Oil
Sometimes I’m wary of oils because I don’t want to look greasy but this oil is light and leaves your face feeling so soft. Somedays I wake up in the morning and my face is glowing, others it’s pretty much a hot mess, but using this oil at night has helped me wake up with vibrant skin every morning. I’m not a person who likes to collect a million skin care products so when I find one that works, I stick to it. Are there any routines you do to feel young? I would love to get more ideas!
