The older I get, the more I’m into quality pieces that will last in my closet. I’m so tired of purging my closet every few months so I’m doing myself a favor and sticking to higher quality pieces that are versatile.
Denim Utility Skirt
This is exactly about how I feel about these pieces I got from Banana Republic. This jacket skirt combo is everything and can be worn in so many different ways. The jacket can just be worn as a jacket layered over dresses, a tank and jeans, a jumpsuit…anything! And the skirt would look so cute with a chunky sweater or tank top tucked it. And of course they look great together as a set.
Another thing that has lasted the test of time are slip dresses. They are going nowhere! Love this one with the cowl neck that could be worn layered with a long sleeve shirt under or jacket over. Slip dressed last you through the seasons because you can layer them so well. For winter you can wear a sweater over the top and some knee high boots and in summer you can just pair them with sandals. And in the in between seasons a light jacket and ankle boots work so well!
When you shop higher quality pieces your money goes further and you can extend your closet for years to come. I got so tired of my clothes not being in style anymore that I had to keep buying new ones just for me to end up wearing my basics that have lasted the test of time.
