This post is sponsored by Target. So I finally got an excuse to play around with a curly look thanks to Target Beauty Box cause boy have I been lazy about switching up my hair! To create this look I used 4 products from the box.
1. Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil
2. Curls Crème Brulee Whipped Curl Cream
3. Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner
4. Dove Quench Absolute Crème Serum
In addition to box items I used Jane Carter Wrap & Roll Setting Lotion and Rod Curlers. When I got out the shower after washing my hair I applied the Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner, the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil, and the Dove Quench Absolute Creme Serum and combed it all in. Let me tell you, all products were great but the Dove Creme Serum blew me away. The texture was so thick and creamy but felt light on hair and I literally felt like my hair was drinking up the moisture. Loved it.After combing through with a wide tooth comb I put in the rod curlers putting a dab of Curls Crème Brulee Whipped Curl Cream and Jane Carter Wrap & Roll setting lotion on each part of hair before rolling it.
Then I used my con-air hair dryer. I rarely use this but I love it because it folds up anywhere and you just use your blow dryer with it, much more portable and cost efficient than a standing dryer.
And voila! Curls. There was a time I always wore my hair like this, although then I would do two-strand twist but rod rollers are better if you have time to sit under a dryer.
I sat under the dryer for about 1.5 hours and did work to pass the time.
I honestly love Target beauty products, especially the ones for hair. They have the most versatile selection for ALL types of hair and I appreciate that. I also love that the Beauty Box lets you try out new products you may have not tried otherwise. It sold out so fast but I would keep checking back to see when the next one drops. But if anything you can still buy each product individually on the Target website. After trying everything the Dove Creme Serum is my favorite, if you have dry hair you must try!
Love the curls!
