IMG_5204 IMG_5216 IMG_5257 IMG_5319 IMG_5345 IMG_5385 IMG_5422 IMG_5456Something that I grew a love for while working on this blog is photography. I guess that’s not really exciting news since I have always been into the arts. The other day I realized I’ve only gone to art schools and have always steered clear from anything that felt too restricted.

(Quick side story: When it was time to apply for college senior year, I decided I wanted to do Interior Design, not realizing that most schools that offer Interior Design are art schools. Therefore, I had less than a year to create an art portfolio. I signed up for an art program over the summer and took a bunch of art classes that year and that’s actually when I realized I could draw. I had NO IDEA before that. So I put together a portfolio and got into all five art schools I applied to. Even the famous FIT which sometimes I wonder how different everything would be if I ended up going there. Cray right?)

Anyhoo, I started really getting into composition in order to make my blog photos more interesting. With a great help from Danny, I realized I have a natural eye for photography and began doing a little studying on my own. I did a bunch of fun shoots with my test subjects including friends and family and this first one is with my old roommate and one of my good friends Courtney. You will never find a kinder sweeter soul, I love this girl! I miss our hot mess adventures around the city in our big girl apartment in Brookline, seriously some of the most hot mess times of my life that I wish to never take back lol.

We took these pictures on the harbor in Boston, we literally snuck onto this dock that is for private boats or something. It clearly said NO TRESPASSING but whateva! We do what we want. Made for great shots so it was worth it!

    Enjoy!

    xx
